Filipino Community

The St. Stephen Church Filipino Community in Singapore (SSCFilComS) is a vibrant Filipino community of the Church of St. Stephen, established in September 2009. SSCFilComS organizes a Tagalog Mass every first Sunday of the month at 3:00 PM. A cherished tradition of the community is the Fellowship gathering, where parishioners come together to enjoy and share Filipino cuisine.
Currently, SSCFilComS comprises several ministries, including the Altar Servers Ministry, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Fellowship Ministry, Lectors and Commentators Ministry, Multimedia Ministry, Music Ministry (also known as Koro ni Teban), and the Wardens Ministry.
As an integral part of the Church of St. Stephen, SSCFilComS actively supports parish activities, including Sunday canteen services, where they bring the flavors of Filipino dishes to the local parishioners, enriching the church’s multicultural environment.
In addition to the monthly Tagalog Mass, SSCFilComS co-organizes key events and religious activities, such as the Señor Santo Niño Mass Festival in January, the Family Block Rosary Mass in October, and Simbang Gabi (Night Mass) in December. During the Lenten season, the community extends its outreach by organizing Visita Iglesia and Stations of the Cross prayers, fostering spiritual connections among Filipino parishioners and their friends.
